Gnergy, like many small energy providers in the UK, collapsed due to the ongoing energy crisis, which has been characterized by volatile wholesale gas prices and regulatory price caps.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/p>\n \n \"Gnergy\"\n\n

These factors made it difficult for smaller firms to remain financially viable. As part of the broader energy crisis that began in 2021, a wave of companies ceased operations, and their customers were typically transferred to larger suppliers<\/a> under a government-backed “Supplier of Last Resort” process.<\/p>\n

Gnergy was one of several companies affected by these market conditions.<\/p>\n

Their customers went to Bulb<\/a>, which in turn also went bust being absorbed into Octopus Energy<\/a>. <\/p>\n
