Zog Energy<\/h1>

Zog Energy ceased trading<\/a> in December 2021 and all customers were moved to EDF<\/a>. <\/p>\n \n \"Zog\n\n

Here was the message from the founders:<\/p>\n

A message from the founders Andrew & Tony<\/em><\/p>\n

Zog Energy was founded to provide its customers with the best possible value energy. We did this because we wanted the best energy solution for our own families and identified in 2012 that the majority of customers were stuck on old tariffs which did not give them the lowest price.\u00a0 Our aim was to help people save money by offering the most competitive prices possible and making it easy with a quick and simple switchover process.<\/em><\/p>\n

Throughout our time we have invested in the best value technology to keep costs down and purchased our gas in advance from Contract Natural Gas<\/a> Ltd to keep the promise we made to customers to supply simple cheap domestic gas.<\/em><\/p>\n

However, Contract Natural Gas Ltd has withdrawn from the wholesale market and ceased to trade. Unfortunately\u00a0 the administrators of Contract Natural Gas Ltd are unwilling to transfer the gas hedges we had previously agreed. This has put us in an untenable\u00a0 position of having to purchase gas at the current market rate and we have no choice but to cease to trade.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Your energy supply will now be transferred to a new supplier<\/a>.\u00a0 You need not worry; your supply is secure and funds that you’ve paid into your accounts will be protected if you are in credit. You can find out more details about this\u00a0here.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our team who have been fully committed to provide the best support to our customers. We would also like to apologise for the impact our closure will have on our customers.\u00a0 We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from many of you in recent days and we would both like to thank all of you who have been supportive of Zog Energy throughout the years we have been trading.<\/em><\/p>\n
